Team HELP
The Canadian Lifeguard Championships were held here in Kamloops BC in May 2005, and team HELP put a team together to compete. As the winners of the 2004 Branch Championships, we were considered the BC representative team but we needed to expand our team from four lifeguards to eight!The lifeguards that competed with team HELP tincluded:

Unfortunately Tara Robertson could not compete because of an injury, and so my soon-to-be wife (Jen Simington) jumped in at the last minute and was a great sport!
This competition was a great success!! For the first time, we were not foiled by wierd Ontario rules, and actually won an event. Ngaire, Lars, Jen B, and Myself placed first in Canada for First Aid! Apparently we still haven't quite figured out pool simulations because we actually used a spineboard to remove the spinal patient (note sarcasm).
I am also very proud of our third place medal in the Men's Obstacle Relay despite having me swim a leg! There were also many individual successes, so look at the results for all the details.
